Antara is an amazongly talented singer who has been classically trained. She shot to fame after qualifying among the top three contestants in the final round of the singing reality show :Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs 2009" on Zee TV, and this was jus tthe beginning of her musical journey.

in 2012 Antara won the international singers award in Music Star Wars by Dream Catchers Vision 2012, Singapore.

Antara has won the "Young Achievers Award 2015" by integrated council of social economic progress in Kolkata. She started her training under the guidance of the maestro Padmashree Ustaad Raashid Khan and western vocals at KM Music Conservatory of Padmabhushan A.R. Rahman. Antara has done playback for a few regional films also and her own composition has earned her many awards and laurels.
